Our Career Services Office connects students with hundreds of competitive internships each semester, providing valuable opportunities to apply classroom learning in real-world settings. By taking advantage of these services, you can graduate with hands-on experience in your desired field when you study International Affairs in Rome

For example, students have interned at prestigious institutions such as the US Embassy, where they assist in daily operations, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, where they help draft policy briefs. These internships enhance students' resumes while providing a deeper understanding of the professional world and the global issues they are passionate about.

Finally, as Professor Michael Driessen of the Political Science and International Affairs department at JCU notes, “We’re in a moment of an important transition in the world’s system, in which we’re living through an international crisis.”

“We’re going to need a lot of people working hard to get us out of that international crisis–people who understand the dynamics of international relations, how states work, how they're built, how to manage conflict, how to deal with human rights,” he explains.
