The RomaEuropa Festival: an Art-Lover’s Dream
Every year, the RomaEuropa Festival brings music, art, and captivating performances to some of the biggest venues in Rome. This impressive festival has been wowing audiences since 1985, and during the last 30 years has built a reputation as one of the biggest cultural events in the world. In 2006, the Wall Street Journal named RomaEuropa one of the top four festivals in Europe.
For its 2015 edition, the festival will host approximately 300 artists presenting dance, theater, music, and even contemporary circus performances. If you’re taking art classes in Italy this fall, RomaEuropa is the ideal way to immerse yourself in the local art scene while exploring the Eternal City. Starting on September 23, there’s plenty of time to catch one of the festival’s many events before it finishes on December 8, 2015.
Unleash Your Inner Soccer Fan While You Study Abroad in Italy
Every autumn, soccer season starts up in Italy. Soccer is the most popular sport in the country and a huge part of local culture. Teams are divided into different series such as A, B, and C.
Serie A is the most prestigious and includes some of the best players in the world. Every year students can watch the top Serie A teams compete against other European contenders in the UEFA Champions League. In Rome the action takes place in the Stadio Olimpico, which hosts matches from the beginning of August right through until May – so there’s plenty of opportunity to see a game throughout the coming season.

The Rome Film Fest is one is only a decade old, but it draws huge crowds of movie-goers every year – and many celebrities, too!
This year, the film festival is celebrating its tenth year in style. From the 16th to the 24th of October, film buffs can take part in master classes and special events, as well as see re-editions of classic films and over 30 new independent, blockbuster, animated, and documentary movies. Whether you’re pursuing classical studies in Rome or completing a degree in Business Administration, this event is sure to have something to suit every taste.
The festival will also bring in some of the most famous directors, writers, and actors in the business, including Wes Anderson and Joel Cohen. It’s definitely a not-to-be-missed event for students who love cinema!
