Whether it’s for just a semester or for all four years of study, students who attend John Cabot University are considered family for life. We recognize and celebrate the success of our alumni – a diverse and accomplished group of professionals, artists and entrepreneurs, drawn together by their decision to study abroad in the beautiful city of Rome.
The John Cabot University Alumni Association was established in 1995 to keep local alumni connected and foster a sense of community and connectedness between the university and its more geographically distant graduates. And membership has its perks! Here are a few of the ways we endeavor to support and reward our alumni:
Career Support and Professional Education
John Cabot University’s Center for Career Services offers alumni the guidance and tools they need to launch a successful career. The Center hosts career fairs, professional seminars, offers coaching on expert resume building, and provides information about graduate school programs. In addition, our continuing education program keeps grads on top of industry developments by offering courses to upgrade skills or explore new career pathways. Learning doesn’t stop at graduation, and we’re pleased to offer our alumni strategic, relevant support as they adjust to new professional roles.
On-Campus Access
If you decided to study abroad in Rome and loved it so much you stayed close by after graduation, you are more than welcome to take advantage of several John Cabot campus resources. The Frohring Library is available to any alum with a valid ID card. Feel free to take out books, receive help from our reference staff (either online or in person), or schedule an interlibrary loan. And if you’re looking for a place to work out after graduation, look no further than the campus fitness center. Alumni just need their ID and to pay a small activity fee each semester to continue using the equipment and resources they enjoyed as students.
Success Stories
We’re proud of our alumni - and are pleased to profile their achievements on our website’s News page. By showcasing the accomplishments of our graduates, we inspire current students and celebrate the commitment of our excellent faculty. We recently profiled John Cabot alumna, Eva Paunova who graduated from the university in 2008 with degrees in International Affairs and Business Administration. Paunova said that attending an American university in Rome was advantageous because it situated her in an international environment – one that enhanced her study of political policy and granted her access to internships with prestigious organizations.
Paunova has since translated her John Cabot education into a career in the European Parliament. One of her first initiatives as an elected official is to promote the value of an excellent education. She hopes to inspire youth to set high academic standards for themselves, and attributes her own success to the excellent training and support she received as a student at John Cabot University.
