Last week, John Cabot University welcomed ten high school counselors from around the globe for a fly-in visit to Rome, to see, taste (Italian cuisine included), and experience what JCU can offer their students. Guests included counselors from Argentina, Austria, Colombia, Egypt, Italy, Morocco, Switzerland, and Ukraine, all of whom represent schools where students are seeking the global university experience after graduation.
Six current JCU degree-seeking students of different majors told their stories of why and how they chose John Cabot University, and each touched upon what has made JCU an unforgettable experience for them. This session proved to be a good platform, as the student ambassadors were able to offer an authentic, firsthand look at what the JCU student experience is truly like. This will help the high school counselors better understand which of their students would be the right fit for JCU.
The counselors' two-day visit ended with a guided tour of the ancient city, followed by a closing reception in JCU's Lemon Tree Courtyard.
JCU's International Admissions office aims to connect with international students from all over the world interested in studying at a small, American liberal arts university in the heart of Rome, and to continue diversifying JCU's student body.
