At the beginning, when I first started studying at John Cabot, I wanted to undertake a diplomatic career (that’s why I chose International Affairs); however, during my first semester I discovered my interest in Economics and Finance, and thanks to John Cabot, I have the opportunity to add this to my original major without having to chose between the two.

At John Cabot students can also participate in a university club. This is not only fun but it also enables students to get a feel for a field in which they have a professional interest.

Currently I am Treasurer of John Cabot’s Model United Nations Society, a JCU club. This is a big responsibility because I manage a €6,000 budget and I am responsible for its allocation across the club’s many activities.

I have participated in three big conferences, including the WorldMUN in Seoul and WorldMUN in Rome. Moreover, this club organizes its own MUN for high school students, so you get the opportunity to see how a conference is organized from the inside and thanks to this I discovered my interest in management. Thanks to the club’s activities, I discovered that it is possible to unite the two fields I am currently studying, since there are specific UN Committees where economic and financial knowledge is required. An example of this is the Economic and Financial Committee, which is part of the General Assembly.

Therefore, John Cabot University helped me realize my two major interests, management and international relations, helping me understand how in the future I would like to specialize in one of these two areas.
