John Cabot University’s Business Club: Travel and Boost your Networking Skills

February 6, 2015
John Cabot University’s  Business Club offers students the opportunity to experience the business environment while pursuing their undergraduate education. JCU students from all fields of study have the chance to meet international entrepreneurs, learning from their stories while building a strong professional network. The Business Club provides students with a forum to experience the business reality first-hand by organizing trips to company headquarters and discussing trends and events in global business during the club’s weekly meetings.

Eataly, John Cabot University’s Business Club, Travel and Boost your Networking Skills as a study abroad, study in italy, rome, Last semester members of the club traveled to the  GEICO S.p.A. headquarters in Milan, a global market leader and innovator in the field of automated paint plants for the vehicle industry. They were led by the company's CEO Dr. Ali Reza Arabnia, a JCU alumnus, in a tour of the company, which included a virtual simulation of the service GEICO offers to its clients. The plans for this semester include appealing day trips to Banfi, a Tuscan winery, and Eataly, an extremely successful gourmet Italian food chain, as well as a trip to the headquarters of Ferrari in Modena.

The Business Club’s vice president, Ilaria Colasanti, a Business Administration major and International Affairs minor, has found a second family within the club’s community. Ilaria joined the board in spring 2014 as secretary and was then elected vice president in the fall. She says that her decision to become part of the club and to then run for vice president was driven by her strong belief in the compelling mission of the club as a community where everyone is prompted to share their ideas and where one never stop learning how to thrive in the business environment.

Ultimately, the Business club creates a stimulating and welcoming environment that provides full-time and study abroad students alike with the opportunity to experience the business reality hands-on, fostering creativity and innovation.
