Hello, everyone! My name is Lisa Cheng and I am a junior at John Cabot University (JCU).  My major is Business Administration and I am also pursuing a minor in Psychology. Let me start with a short introduction of my background. I am a Chinese citizen who was born in Italy, lived in China for more than six years, and then earned my high school diploma in Hungary. Basically, I am an international student.

My experience at John Cabot has allowed me to grow physically, socially, and mentally. At John Cabot I have met so many different students from all over the world, and have loved sharing and learning from my classmates; we often have different perspectives. Also, the professors here are very professional and patient and willing to answer any questions you have. Plus, authentic Italian spaghetti and pizza have definitely have helped my physical growth!

Being away from family might be challenging and often frustrating, but the good news is that at JCU you will never be alone! Most students at JCU are far away from their families, and as a result there are numerous students and professors willing to accompany you through any hard times you might be experiencing. The University also offers all kinds of tutoring centers for different subjects: the writing center, the math tutor, the library research office, etc. Another one of my favorite aspects of JCU is that it is located along the banks of the Tiber River in Trastevere, a central neighborhood in Rome. Whenever your studies are overwhelming or you are feeling stressed, you can always take a break, relax, and breathe fresh air by taking a stroll along the river between classes. Anyway, all I have to say is that I love John Cabot and hope that more Chinese students have the chance to join me in Rome!
