Hi! My name is Chiara and I am from Padua. I am an Art History major, an Entrepreneurship minor, and I will graduate this May 2019. I have been the President of the Art History Society for the past two years, a role for which I am extremely grateful because it has taught me a lot in terms of leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and much more. As soon as I entered John Cabot University, I knew I wanted to take advantage of all the opportunities the university offered, so I joined the Art History Society and after a year I was elected President.

The aim of the Art History Society is to engage students with all aspects of the arts and to make the most out of the vibrant artistic environment in Rome and the opportunities the city constantly offers.

Some of our main activities include managing the 4m2 Gallery, a small contemporary gallery space situated in the John Cabot library where every semester we curate a show, or organizing public talks in order to explore the role of art professionals and the various facets of the art world. We also visit archaeological sites, museums, and exhibitions together as well as lesser-known places outside of Rome which are treasures of artistic significance.

Joining a club is a great opportunity to develop valuable professional skills in one’s field of interest while cultivating your passion with your friends (and professors too!). It is an incredible experience which I would definitely recommend to everyone.
