That day I will remember forever: the day when I received my letter of acceptance to John Cabot University. My heart was full of happiness, gratitude, and honor.

I was born and raised in Odessa, Ukraine: an ordinary girl with big dreams. Some people told me that I was living in a world of illusions, but I always knew that everything is possible if you have a dream and work hard for it.

From my early childhood, I've dreamed of becoming a journalist. I've been always inspired by American and European journalists. This dream was the main reason I decided to apply to earn my degree at JCU.

I was looking for a good program to study communications and mass media. After researching many similar programs, I was delighted to find the department of Communications in such a great university in the heart of Rome. I really liked that John Cabot offers a wide range of courses and opportunities which, I am sure, will help me in my future career as a journalist.

I also have always been interested in dancing, singing, and theatre, so it was also important to me to find a university where I could continue performing. I was thrilled when I found a huge list of different clubs and organizations at JCU, including the Theatre Society.

I remember the day when I visited Rome and John Cabot University and I just fell in love with this place. After that, I had no doubt that I wanted to study communications right here at JCU. Furthermore, I love Italy and Italian culture with all my heart. For me, it is the perfect match.
It is an amazing opportunity to be a student of John Cabot: to be part of a friendly, inspiring, and international environment. I am honored to study in a creative atmosphere, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and to be among people who have the same aim in their lives.

I feel like here I can finally start making my dreams come true: learn as much as I can about mass media and start putting my knowledge into practice. It is the first vital step for me and for my future career.
