However, JCU isn’t just known for giving students a fantastic educational experience in Italy—it’s got the facilities to match, too. Here’s a look at the buildings and specialized classrooms on location at JCU in Rome.
JCU’s Three Campuses Welcome Students from Around the World
Regardless of what you study, students at JCU will have classes in all three of the University’s campuses: Critelli, Guarini, and Tiber—each one serving various purposes. The Caroline Critelli Guarini Campus acts as the home of admin offices and classrooms. This campus also features a computer lab, student lounge, and beautiful winding staircases.
There’s also John Cabot University’s Guarini Campus, which plays host to numerous other services at the school. Having once been a convent, the Guarini Campus is most notably home to the Frohring Library, as well as study rooms, the university’s meditation garden, the Aula Magna Regina auditorium, and media production facilities.
Right near the Tiber river is JCU’s Tiber Campus, which is home to the Tiber Cafe—the school’s cafeteria—in addition to the Immigration Services office, Student Services, a math tutoring center, and various classrooms.
JCU also offers nearby options for housing. There’s the Lungara apartment complex and the Gianicolo Residence building. The apartments allow students to live in a complex with Italian locals, and the Gianicolo residence features more than 70 apartments, as well as a fitness center and the school’s office of Health and Wellbeing.
JCU’s Specialized Classroom Facilities Give Students’ Programs an Edge
For the more creative types about to study abroad in Rome, JCU offers specialized facilities for students in programs relating to studio art and media production. JCU’s Largo Dei Fiorentini Studio Art facilities are situated within short walking distance of the Guarini campus. Hosted within the Sacchetti Building, it is the setting for courses in the Studio Art program such as graphic design, photography, painting, and figure drawing. These facilities are also where students can learn about various aspects and techniques related to studio art, and are divided into two wings: one for graphic design and photography, and another for drawing and painting.
JCU’s Media Production Facilities are where students in lines of study like Digital Media Arts can perform various activities for their courses. These include visual effects, editing, screenwriting, and other components related to video and audio production. The Media Production Facilities are also where students can make use of different technologies, such as microphones, Zoom audio recorders, cameras, and camcorders. Students even get to use a digital media lab and a TV studio (including a control room with a video monitor and audio mixing equipment) during their studies.
